About Sandra

Sandra Pehrsson is an award winning Swedish Jazz and Contemporary singer/ songwriter, multi instrumentalist and singing, piano and performing arts teacher with a long international career in both performing and teaching.

With a substantial music education behind her, Sandra has over 20 years of experience of teaching in Sweden, the UK and the USA. She has taught for many Music Schools, Music Conservatoires, Music Colleges, for record companies and privately over the years and she has taught students of all ages, from 3 years old up to 90 years old.

Teaching and performing is Sandra’s passion, and she is dedicated to helping her students develop and find their musical talent and voice. Sandra is a very positive and happy person with a big passion for voices and for helping her students to make great progress and to accomplish their goals. She can help to improve range, pitch and tone of the voice. She helps her students to build confidence and to prepare for performances and auditions with great results. She also teaches microphone technique & stage presence. It's very important to Sandra that her students always have fun at the same time as learning.

As a performing artist, Sandra has performed extensively both as a solo artist and with several bands in Sweden, the UK and the USA. Sandra has sung and played with original members of Rick James’ band and Corinne Bailey Rae's band and worked with British artist Overseer on an album released by Columbia records. She has performed as a soloist with the Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra and also has a singing credit in the newly released movie about the Swedish singer/songwriter Ted Gärdestad, directed by the award winning director Hannes Holm.

Sandra is a successful solo artist and also one half of the upcoming singer/songwriter duo SandraKota. She currently also sings with former Tower of Power member Lenny Goldsmith & has recorded several albums with his band. They are performing regularly around California.

Sandra also works as a recording artist, songwriter, lyricist and musician for the record company Paris5000 Music and Film. Sandra has appeared and performed live on multiple radio channels, including LA Talk Radio, Mother Love Show and on Swedish Radio Kristianstad.
